Mary Rita Oubre Berthelot, 91, passed away on July 3, 2015.

She was a native of Garyville and a resident of Franklinton.
She is survived by sons Pershing J. Berthelot Jr. and wife Dennise, Libeau J. Berthelot and wife Patricia, Ronnie J. Berthelot and wife Judith and daughter Mary Rita Kliebert.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Ben Berthelot, Marc Berthelot, Libeau Berthelot III, Ashley Berthelot Garver, Casey Berthelot Kincheloe, Kristie Lee Berthelot, Sarah Berthelot Wilson, Rebecca Berthelot Welborn, Gregory James Berthelot, Ricky Kliebert Jr., Jennifer Kliebert Guerra, Erin Kliebert and Sydney Beth Kliebert.
She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren: Shea Berthelot, Reese Berthelot, Jack Berthelot, Lucy Berthelot, Madeleine Breslin Berthelot, Emma Claire Berthelot, Anna Casey Garver, Matthew Jon Garver Jr., Charlotte Davis Garver, John Charles Kincheloe Jr., Caroline Berthelot Kincheloe, Emma Claire Wilson, Thomas Gregory Welborn and Legend Guerra.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Pershing Joseph Berthelot Sr.; parents August Williamson Oubre and Emelie LeBouef Oubre; brothers Melvin, Calvin, August Jr., Raymond, Joseph “Gayle,” Leroy and George Oubre and sisters Emelie Eunice Lebeau and Therese Oubre Ocmond.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy from 9:3o until 11:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina.
Berthelot was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary, Sacred Heart Church Choir and Ladies’ Altar Society.
