Violet “Jackie” Bienvenu Magee, 89, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2019.

Jackie was born in Garyville on July 2, 1929, to the late Milton J. and Viola Allen Bienvenu.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Magee.

Jackie is survived by her children, Patricia “Beanie” M. Hirsch, Sandra M. Cunningham (Richard), J. Gregory Magee (Linda), Charles E. Magee (Pat), Donald W. Magee (Laureen) and Michele M. Gray (John); her grandchildren, R. Samuel Hirsch, Paul Hirsch, Judith Cunningham, Kevin Cunningham, James Magee II, Gregory Magee, Ryan Magee, Erin Magee, Jacob Gray and Michael Gray; her 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass held in the chapel at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, Feb. 2 at noon.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until Mass.

Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made the Catholic Charities or to the Salvation Army.
