MONTZ — St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating the discovery of a body that was found in a pond located in the west side of the Bonnet Carré Spillway.

The Sheriff’s Office made the announcement through social media at approximately 2 p.m. Monday (Dec. 24).

No foul play is suspected at this time, police said.

“An added presence of law enforcement may be noticed in the area during the investigation, but (there) is no threat to the public,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.
