Lorraine Wilton Rassat, 82, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015.

She was a native and lifelong resident of LaPlace.
Rassat was the beloved wife of Arlen “Razz” J. Rassat for almost 59 years; loving mother of Debra R. Melancon (Timmy), Kenneth L. Rassat and Linda R. Landry (Mickey); grandmother of Brett Landry, Haley Melancon, Julie Melancon, Megan Landry and Wesley Melancon; daughter of the late William Kenneth Wilton and Lucille Maurin Wilton; and sister of Shirley Montz (the late Nemours “Nem” Montz).

The family would like to give special thanks to her caretaker, Joyce Jones, for her wonderful compassion and care over the years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 529 W. 5th St., LaPlace on Saturday, Sept. 12 at noon.

Visitation will begin in the church at 9 a.m. Inurnment is in St. Peter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, masses preferred.
