ARCENEAUX
Published 12:00 am Saturday, April 7, 2012
On Palm Sunday, the Good Lord took our precious grandson Stephen Arceneaux III into His arms. Stephen graduated from Destrehan High School in 2005. While at school, he played football and wore the No. 45 proudly. He was recently employed at Earl’s Plumbing. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan and was passionate about hunting ducks and deer. He also loved going to the camp with his best buddy – his grandpa – to fish and catch crabs. He was sweet and loving and a full-of-life person. He never met a stranger, and he loved all his friends and his family, especially at the Becnel Family Reunion, where he met them all. He helped his paran build his deck.
He leaves behind a grieving mother, Tanya St. Germain Arceneaux, a maternal grandmother, Myrl St. Germain, and grandfather, the late Jules St. Germain. He was the son of the late Stephen A. Arceneaux Jr., grandson of Stephen A. Arceneaux Sr. and wife, Cyndy. He was the grandson of Jimmy and Jeanette Thiery Arceneaux Keller, the great-grandson to his 95-year-old sweetheart Grace Becnel Keller and the late John Keller. He was preceded in death by his beloved godmother, the late Victoria Thiery Broussard, his adorable “Aunt Lil Sister.” His paternal great-grandparents were the late Albert and Lucille Miceli Thiery of Harahan. He also leaves behind but not forgotten his beautiful sister, Amber Marie Arceneaux, and his gorgeous fiancée, Stephanie Elizabeth Bertucci.
He also leaves behind scores of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and all his devoted, loving friends, too many to name. To his best buddy, Jimmy Keller, he says, “I love you, grandpa.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, April 9, 2012, at noon at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, with Fr. Bru officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
