Mary Ellen “Mel” Viallon Breaux Albert, 75, passed away, Saturday, March 31, 2012.

She was the beloved wife of the late James Leo Albert Sr. and mother of Catherine Whiddon, Lynne Breaux Barre, Wallace Breaux Jr., Pamela Muse and Traci Marchetta. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of Rodney Viallon Sr., Warren Viallon Sr. and the late George Viallon II and wife by first marriage of Wallace Breaux Sr.

Her attributes were her loving caring heart for everyone and her traditional ways at family gatherings. She now has passed down these treasured memories that will sustain through difficult times. She will be missed greatly.

She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace.

Visitation and services were held at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace on Monday, April 2, 2012. Burial followed in Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
