NEW SARPY- Florence Adams, 64, of Destrehan, on Saturday December 16, 2006 in an auto accident. She was the daughter of the late Sarah Douglans and Henry Valentine and wife of the late Alvin Adams, Sr. and companion of David Smith.

Mother of Alvin Adams Jr., Amanda A. (Javan) Griffin, Anthony, Adele, Aaron, Allister and the late Angela Adams. She was the stepmother of Kevin Adams.

She was the sister of Gerald Louise (Michael) Rougeau, the late Rachel, Bertha Mae and Gloria Valentine and daughter-in-law of Edna Marilyn Adams.

Also survived by 19 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be held at ST,Matthew Baptist Church in New Sarpy on December 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. and visitation beginning at 9 a.m.

NEW SARPY-Natasha Chantell Adams, 28 of New Sapy in an auto accident on Dec. 16, 2006. She was the daughter of Amanda Adams Griffin and Kevin Smothers and stepdaughter of Javan Griffin and Traci Smothers and companion of Clifton Montell Blue.

She was the mother of Clifton Cortez, Chrystal Chantell and Cane Montell Adams and stepmother of Clinisia Montrell London and Christian Karon Blue.

Sister to Darrius Terrel and Kawani Marie Adams and stepsister of Kevin Karnell, Karin Karnell Smothers, and Javan Brown.

She was the granddaughter of Myrtle Smothers, and the late Charles Bertrand Smothers, Florence and Alvin Adams Sr. She was the step-granddaughter of Lionel and Rose Griffin and goddaughter of Charles Smith and Catherine Walker.

Services will be held Dec. 23. 2006 at St.Matthew Baptist Church in New Sarpy. At 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9 a.m.

Anderson

JEFFERSON- Louis Anderson, Sr., 94, of LaPlace. He was the son of the late Laura Cambre and Albert Anderson Sr. and husband of the late Alberta Lewis Anderson.

He was the father of Leona Conerly of LapPlace, Walter of Norco, Frederick Sr. Richard, Leroy, Clarence Sr., and Roland Sr. all of LaPlace. Also father of Raymond Sr., of Garyville, Lawrence Sr. of New Orleans, and the late Louis Anderson, Wilhelminia Jones, and Clarisse Anderson.

Brother of the late Albert Anderson Jr., and Lillian Anderson Gray.

Also survived by 49 grandchildren, and a host of great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be held Saturday December 23, 2006 at Our lady of Grace Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with visitation starting at 9 a.m.

Riley Armant on Tuesday Dec. 19, 2006, 80, of Vacherie. He was the husband of Louveire N. Armant and father of Bobby Robertson and Wendell Armant, grandfather of Bobby Poche, Brand Robertson, Riley Alexander, and Ryan Alicia Armant.

He was the brother of Willie Mae Simonm Joyce Jackson, Barbara G. Cambridge and the late Lynn, Herman, Vernal Armant and Amelia Jasmine.

Father-in-law f Diana RobetsonandDale ARmant. He was a member of Highway Baptist Church and served as chairman of the deacon board and president of the young Soldiers Benevolent Association,

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Highway Baptist Church, 1185 Magnolia Heights, Vacherie.
