DeMARCO

BARTLESVILLE, OK – Marilyn Bourg DeMarco, 72, a native of Luling and resident of Bartlesville, Olka., died Jan. 1. She was the wife of Salvador “Sam” DeMarco and mother of Angela Trevino, Alba “Traci,” Toni, Benni, Gino and Dondi DeMarco.

She was also the daughter of the late Gaston and Clara Faucheux Bourg, and sister of Sybil Dufrene, Gary and Terry Bourg, and the late Elizabeth Gourgues.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

She graduated from Hahnville High School in 1950 and from Boston University. She was employed by Micro Photo Data Inc. as a document preparation supervisor.

Services are Jan. 6 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Bartlesville, Okla., with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Douglas

DESTREHAN – Bonnie Douglas, 57, a resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 31. She was the wife of George Douglas and mother of Jennifer Trahan and Elizabeth Cuntapay.

She was also the daughter of Sidney Morales and sister of Ronald Morales.

She is also survived by two grandchilren.

Services were Jan. 4 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

DUFRENE

DES ALLEMANDS – Clara “Sis” Brupbacher Dufrene, 87, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Des Allemands, died Dec. 28. She was the wife of the late Tracy Dufrene, and mother of Marlin Dufrene.

She was also the daughter of the late Otto Sr., and Lydia Pertuit Brupbacher, and sister of Ruth Roy, Thelma Bernard, Ida Doland, Betty Ruiz, Gerry Vannoy, John, Jesse and Glen Brupbacher, and the late Orrie and Otto Brupbacher Jr.

She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was the owner of Sis’ Flowers and Gifts for 43 years.

Services were Dec. 31 at Des Allemands Mennonite Church, with interment at the church cemetery.

DUHE

GRAMERCY – Barbara Arceneaux Duhe, 75, a resident of Gramercy, died Dec. 30. She was the wife of the late Richard Duhe Sr., and mother of Sibyl Laiche, Julie Cockburn, Richard Jr., John, Michael, Robert, Stephen and Malcolm Duhe.

She was also the daughter of the late Edmond and Gladys Arceneaux, and sister of Janet Calcagno, Lorraine Giardina, Yvonne Veron and Edmond Arceneaux Jr.

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were Jan. 3 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

GRIFFITH

RESERVE – Arthur G. “Pig” Griffith, 49, a native of Bassfield, Miss., and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 28. He was the husband of Anna McGee Griffith, father of Keanie Jefferson and stepfather of Odessa Thomas, Alvin and Milton Fleming and Ernest “Pop” Fleming III.

He was also the son of Hayes Griffith, and the late Annicese Griffith, and brother of Johnnie Myles, Carolyn Smith, Tara, Hazel and Bobbie Griffith.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m., at Rescue Mission Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

HENRY

RESERVE – Albert “De-De” J. Henry, 64, a native of New Orleans and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 30. He was the husband of Helen Marie Henry and father of Albert Troy and Dylan Henry.

He was also the brother of Priscilla Dixon, Theresa Gibson and June Henry.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 4 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.

JONES

LAPLACE – Robert Anthony “Rolly” Jones, 21, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 29. He was the father of Rolexis Jackson, Robert and Kimichael Singleton and companion of LaShawn Singleton.

He was also the son of Robert Shinard and Theresa Ducre, stepson of Curley Ducre, and brother of Antonio and Joshua Jones and Gustavo Shinard.

He was also the grandchild of Curtis and Rose Dixon, Dorothy Baker and Richard Hardy.

Services were Jan. 3 at New Wine Christian Fellowship Church, LaPlace, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.

LANDRY

LULING – Lamar “Arnie” Richard Landry, 37, a native of New Orleans and resident of Ama, died Dec. 31. He was the son of the late Lamar Sr., and Mary Louise DeBautte Landry.

He was also the nephew of Audrey D. Zeringue, Helen Haik and Daniel DeBautte.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 2049 in Luling and the St. Charles Rotary Club.

Services were Jan. 3 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

LIRETTE

PARADIS – Mirley Rodrigue Lirette, 77, a native of Chackbay and resident of Paradis, died Dec. 29. She was the wife of Earl Lirette and mother of Karen Boudreaux and Byron Lirette. She is preceded in death by one infant son.

She was also the daughter of the late Morris and Clemence Martin Rodrigue, and sister of the late Mildred Folse and Nolan Rodrigue.

She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 3 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

MINCE

METAIRIE – Donald F. Mince Sr., 79, a native of Kenner and resident of LaPlace for 22 years, died Jan. 2. He was the husband of the late Shirley J. Mince, and father of Donna rosenlund, Donald Jr., Gerald, Bruce and Barry Mince.

He was also the brother of Ella Cunningham, Mary Frabbiele, Ruth Abdo and Henry Lee Mince, and the late Iva Pedigo, Jeanne May Garcia, Clint, Walter, Albert and Charles Mince.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and drove a Higgins boat for five engagements, worked as a salesman for Baumer Foods for 25 years, presiden of M&M Brokerage and founder of Geanie’s Seafood in LaPlace.

Services are Jan. 6 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories, Metairie. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. Thursday.

WALKER

EDGARD – Marsha Mott Walker, 52, a native and resident of Edgard, died Dec. 29. She was the mother of Desmond “Joland” Walker.

She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Melba Alexander Walker, and sister of Avis Alexander, Margo Lumar, Demetra Bailey, Nathaniel, Grant and Lynwood Walker.

She was also a retired teacher from the St. John Parish school system.

Services were Jan. 3 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.

ZERINGUE

DESTREHAN – Huey Joseph Zeringue, 76, a native and resident of Ama, died Dec. 24.

He was the husband of Leola Justin Robert Zeringue, and father of Lisa Fontenot, Lori, Valarie, Jan and Danny Zeringue.

He was also the son of the late Aristide and Nellie Dugas Zerigue, and brother of the late Thelma, Cyril and Aristide Zeringue Jr.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a carpenter and farmer and helped form the Ama Athetic Association.

Servces are today at 10 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan.
