St. John

ALBERT

LUTCHER – Mildred Washington Albert, 62, a native and resident of Lutcher, died April 8. She was the wife of the late Freddie Albert Sr., and mother of Trina Pearley and stepmother of Freddie Albert Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Henry and Pearley Peters Washignton, and sister of Charles Bowser, Onetta and Dennis Washington.

She is also survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Greater King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Antioch Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m.

CURTIS

METAIRIE – Lewellyn “Lou” LaMulle Curtis, 69, a native of new Orleans and resident of St. Rose for 25 years, died April 13. She was the former wife of John C. Curtis and mother of Deborah Helibach and Sheila Painter.

She was also the daughter of the late Bernie and Vivian Amedee LaMulle, and sister of Marilyn Scavo.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was a retired employee of Motors Insurance Co.

Services were April 17 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories.

EMIL

NEW SARPY – Edward Emil Jr, 77, a resident of New Sarpy, died April 13. He was the husband of Avinell Barletter Faucheux Emil and stepfather of Donnel, Avinell, Pandora and Donald Faucheux.

He was also the brother of Ruthie Youngren, and the late Leonard Emil III, George and Benjamin Terral.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are pending.

EVANS

ST. ROSE – Teresa Marie Evans, 41, a resident of Luling, died April 1. She was the wife of Don Evans and mother of Dawn and Donna Evans and Paul Bega.

She was also the daughter and stepdaughter of Nancy and Edward Tweedy and sister of Debbie Matise.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

Graveside services were April 15 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.

FLOOD

LULING – Arthur J. Flood Jr., 52, a native and resident of New Orleans, died April 7. He was the son of the late Arthur Sr. and Rosemary Delatte Flood, and brother of Betty St. Amant.

Services were April 14 at First United Methodist Church, Luling, with private interment.

GONZALES

METAIRIE – Lester Leo Gonzales Jr., 87, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. Rose for 13 years, died April 13. He was the father of Jeanette Ledet.

He was also the brother of Walter Gonzales.

He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was awarded the Victory Ribbon. He was also a retired linotypist for Upton Printing Co.

Graveside services were April 15 at All Saints Mausoleum.

GORDON

EDGARD – Semius Gordon, 62, a native of New Orleans and resident of Edgard, died April 10. He was the husband of Estha Gordon and father of Mary Keller.

He was also the son of the late Israel Sr. and Alma Gordon, and brother of Vernita Giollard, Geraldine Boudoin, Thomas and James Gordon, and the late Israel Jr., Louis, Raymond, Harold and Delores Gordon.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

He was an operator at Caire and Graugnard Inc.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Edgard. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

HOLLOWAY

PONCHATOULA – Cloyce Michael Holloway, 60, a native of Bogalusa and resident of Hammond, died April 10. He was the father of Michelle H. Bossier of LaPlace.

He was also the son of Nora Mizell Holloway, and the late Cloyce L. Holloway, and brother of Laverne Brown, Ann Stakley, Sally Triplow, Evelyn Self, Videt Catania and Charles “Chuck” Holloway.

He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kevin and Brooklyn Bossier, also of LaPlace.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, was a Mason and a member and chaplain for the American Legion. He was employed by Winn-Dixie Warehouse in Hammond.

Services were April 12 in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Ponchatoula, with interment at at Magee Cemetery, Bogalusa.

PERRY

METAIRIE – Gloria Jean Perry, 51, a native of Opelousas and resident of LaPlace for 10 years, died April 9. She was the mother of Edna and Christopher Grantner.

She was also the sister of Brenda, Louis and Gerald Perry.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

She was a retired secretary for Community Associates.

Graveside services were April 14 at Garden of Memories, Metairie.
