McComack: Chamber gears up for Annual Banquet Jan. 19

Published 12:02 am Wednesday, January 10, 2018

The River Region Chamber of Commerce gears up with it’s Annual Banquet scheduled Jan. 19 at San Francisco Plantation in Garyville.

Incoming Chair Kim Bourgeois will share her vision and expectation for the year.

As the remainder of the year’s events are finalized, we are looking forward to success from projected growth in membership, engagement across the board with increased relationship/partnership building within and beyond the parish lines.

We are starting the new year by creating small business roundtables to targeted businesses within the Chamber membership.

We hope if you get selected, you take advantage of the opportunity being shared. We need YOU to help build a regional mentality.

We are ramping up promotion of a regional workforce development plan for the River Parishes in partnership with La. Calling.

There are a few leadership positions available with taskforces. We encourage all members, big and small, to reflect and commit to one to two hours a month in some fashion, either with Ambassadors, Business Development, Communications, Public Policy, Workforce Development, Crawfish boil or Golf Tourney.

Leadership River Region progresses strong into their sessions with 21 attendees. Registration for the next class will open May 2018!

This has been a great experience for many in a variety of ways. Sincerest thanks to The Slone Group for their facilitation to help us instill a platform to build future leaders within the Chamber and our communities.
