LAPLACE – North and southbound lanes on Airline Highway near the St. Charles and St. John the Baptist Parish line are shut down between Louisiana Highway 3217 (Bayou Steel Road) and CC Road at this time due to a chemical spill.

Responders from St. Charles and St. John Parishes are on scene working to resolve the situation. The road closure is expected to remain in place for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours. Further notifications will be posted when the road is re-opened.
