LAPLACE – St. John the Baptist Parish Deputies arrested a Reserve man after he allegedly stole equipment from a job site in St. Charles Parish.
On Saturday morning, deputies were notified that a driver who had stolen a boat from a job site on the Bonnet Carre Spillway in St. Charles Parish was entering St. John Parish. The victim was following the perpetrator and providing 911 dispatchers their location.
Deputies located the vehicle shortly after it entered the parish and stopped the driver after a brief pursuit. Marius Jacob Jr., 46, of Terrio Drive in Reserve, was arrested and booked with reckless operation of a vehicle and a fugitive hold for St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
