LAPLACE — Four girls at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School cashed in on the item for which they were top bidders at the spring fair.

They enjoyed a teddy bear tea in the home of Robbie Tomeny with their second grade teachers, Margaret Cerami and Cathy Tramonte.

Tomeny invited the girls to her home to prepare the food and places for the tea.

She also shared with them the etiquette to be used during the tea since most had never attended a formal tea.

When the guests began arriving, the girls greeted them at the door and promptly handed them a teddy bear. After showing them around Tomeny’s beautifully decorated home, they mingled with the other guests until it was time to serve the tea.

The girls proudly served the guests tea and the food they prepared.
