NEW ORLEANS — A St. Charles Parish man faces four years in prison following guilty pleas to multiple counts of heroin dealing.

Kirk Jenkins, 41, of New Sarpy was sentenced this week, having previously pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of heroin, U.S. Attorney Kenneth A. Polite announced Wednesday.

U.S. District Judge Sarah S. Vance sentenced Jenkins to 48 months of incarceration, to be followed by three years of supervised release.

According to court records, Jenkins distributed quantities of heroin on Dec. 9, 2012; Jan. 4, 2013 and March 6, 2013.

Polite praised the work of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Louisiana State Police and St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office in investigating the case.
