Ascension, Assumption and St. James guilty pleas 5/03 to 5/07

During the week of May 3 – May 7, 2021, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

 Ascension Parish:

 

  1. Devin Braud, 17387 Hwy 933 Prairieville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Megan Rogers, 39422 Old LA 16 Denham Springs, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Brigitte Becker, 16045 Tiger Heights Ave. Prairieville, LA., age 50, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Dallas Faucheux, 21198 Diversion Canal Rd. St. Amant, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Christopher Gradney, 1114 E Sybil Ave Gonzales, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  2. Brnadon David, 41443 Gressett Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Joseph Dennis, 6907 Elm St. Wilson, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Michael Kelson, 219 Daphne Dr. Gonzales, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and Resisting an Officer. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

 

  1. Leon Saulny, 12178 Canterbury Park Dr. Geismar, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

 

  1. Joseph Lefore, 17797 Airline Hwy Prairieville, LA., age 49, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Simple Arson. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

 

  1. Tyroshawn Rose, 3043 Beech St. Baton Rouge, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Simple Burglary, Simple Criminal Trespass, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, and Theft Valued at Less than $1,000. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. James Bell, 1410 Peytavin St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  1. Shedrick Coleman, Baton Rouge, LA., age 45, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Kelsey Dupuy, 43279 Elmo Cannon RD. Gonzales, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Violation of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substance Law, Drug Free Zone, Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of Minors, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Eric King, 118 Eric Ln. Amite, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana. The defendant was sentenced to 6 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long and Robin O’Bannon. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.  

 

Assumption Parish:

 

  1. Katlyn Landry, 6716 Hwy 1 Belle Rose, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

  1. Travonta Ausama, 413 Owens St. Napoleonville, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.

St. James Parish:

  1. Destini Phillips, 3105 N 45th Omaha, NE., age 34, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

 

  1. Dartania Mixon, 1620 Cambridge Dr. LaPlace, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentence to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

 

  1. Cody Poche, 42298 LA 933 Prairieville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation.

 The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner.

 

  1. Ryan Millet, 19457 Simon St. Vacherie, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Cruelty to Juveniles and was sentenced to 210 days in the parish jail with credit for time served.

 

  1. Jonothan Prembrook, 3142 Antioch St. Paulina, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Theft Over $5,000, but Less than $25,000. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

 The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.
