DA Dinvaut & Sheriff Martin to serve on Council of Peace Officer Standards &Training

BATON ROUGE — Gov. John Bel Edwards announced that St. John District Attorney Bridget A. Dinvaut of LaPlace has been reappointed to the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).

Sheriff Willy J. Martin Jr. of Paulina has been appointed to the Council on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). The Council on POST is responsible for developing and evaluating the curriculum of mandatory basic training courses for municipal officers, deputy sheriffs, state police, wildlife agents and all other persons commissioned as peace officers, defined by state law.

Other appointees include Sheriff Jason G. Ard of Springfield, Chief Barry G. Bonner of Sterlington, Chief Hal V. Hutchinson of New Iberia, Chief Louis B. Layrisson of Ponchatoula and Sheriff Brett M. Stassi Jr. of Plaquemine.
