EDGARD — St. John Clerk of Court Eliana DeFrancesch  announced the successfully implemented civil e-filing system for her office through a software provider.   Civil e-filing became available to all attorneys and pro se litigants on May 18. The attorneys and the public can begin filing by accessing the website www.clerkconnect.com.  This will allow the user to set up a profile, submit information and proceed to file documents.

Once the clerk’s office receives the filing electronically, the clerk will either accept or reject the filing.  Once accepted/or rejected the attorney will receive an email receipt with the case number, date of submission, filing date and, if accepted , the amount of transaction charged to the credit card. If rejected , the email will state why it was rejected. Filings are checked every morning by one of the deputy clerks.  The link to the website can also be found at www.stjohnclerkonline.org.

For questions in reference to the civil e-filing please contact the Clerk of Court’s office  at 985-497-3331.
