High school seniors announce collegiate football plans

LAPLACE — High School seniors across St. John the Baptist Parish announced college football plans Wednesday in honor of National Signing Day.

East St. John High School senior Jarius Monroe committed to Nicholls State University, while senior Hoxie Brown signed onto the Hyland Community College – Kansas’ football team.

At Riverside Academy, Kash Foley committed to Grambling State University after considering numerous football offers, and Louis Cheneau signed onto Louisiana College.

St. Charles Catholic senior Bryce Authement will play for the NichollsState Colonels next season, and Jacob Ganote is joining the Louisiana College football team.

No one signed Wednesday at West St. John High, though coach Brandon Walters said Kylan Duhe, Niko Roy and Jonathan Porter plan to sign later in the Spring.
