The St. John Business Association named St. John Parish Deputy Antonio Francalancia officer of the month for his work saving the Sheriff’s Office and taxpayers thousands of dollars in repair expenses for the Sherman Walker Correctional Center, according to Warden Gordon Jeffcoat.

Francalancia im-proved the facility’s preventative maintenance by setting up daily, weekly and monthly checklists for all doors, gates, air conditioners, kitchen appliances and lighting.

His efforts helped the correctional center’s outstanding audit, which has included operating an exceptional maintenance shop for the past two years.
