NORCO — The St. John Sheriff’s Office rescheduled its free fishing camp for children for Sept. 15 at the Bonnet Carre Spillway Boat Launch near Norco.
The St. John Sheriff’s Office is working with the 40th Judicial District Children & Youth Services Planning Board and Prevention Committee, as well as several local government agencies and businesses to sponsor the event.
Children ages 8-15 are invited. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must be supervised during the event. More than 200 children are expected to participate.
The camp was postponed since June because of issues in the spillway.
