THIBODAUX—St. John Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Dynisha Parks was among 27 graduates of the Peace Officer Standards and Training program (POST) Class 122 conducted by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Training Academy in Thibodaux. The 15-week program included training in firearms, physical fitness, Louisiana criminal and traffic law, writing reports, conducting interrogations and general investigative techniques.

Deputy Parks was recognized as a certified Peace Officer April 19 during POST graduation at the Moses Community Center in Thibodaux.

Sheriff Mike Tregre and the SJSO send congratulations to Deputy Parks for the successful completion of this rigorous and intense training.
