SJSO investigate LaPlace Halloween shooting

Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday, October 31, 2022 about 11:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Elm Street in LaPlace where an 18-year-old female was injured.
Upon arrival, officers located the female victim inside the residence with a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services transported the victim to a New Orleans hospital where she was treated and released.
Officers learned there were witnesses who refused to cooperate with the investigation.
