KENNER — On September 3, 2022, at 4:00 AM Kenner Police Officers responded to a report of a subject shot in the parking lot of a convenience store located at 3049 Loyola Drive, Kenner.

Officers arrived on scene and found Alejandro Quiroz, 43, Kenner, shot twice.  Quiroz was transported to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Police are actively interviewing witnesses and following up on leads.  The witness stated the suspect and victim were known associates. The suspect is described as a black, possibly Hispanic male.

Detective Peter Foltz is leading the homicide investigation.
