LAPLACE — Parish President Jaclyn Hotard announces the Carrollwood Drive Rehabilitation Project as part of a significant effort to improve infrastructure on Carrollwood Drive in the following months.

Construction will begin on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, and last approximately six months, weather permitting. Work will include wastewater and road improvements and is scheduled to take place on weekdays (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the possibility of some weekends.

Carrollwood Drive will be closed to thru traffic and a detour will be utilized at Fairway Drive and Madewood Drive throughout the duration of the project (see map).

Local residential traffic will be allowed during this time but during some parts of the project, driveway access may be temporarily impacted. Emergency responders, mail and garbage services will have access within the construction area.

Residents and motorist are asked to please use caution when driving near this area and follow all directional and detour signage. “We understand there will be short-term inconveniences throughout the project, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we complete these much-needed improvements,” said Parish President Hotard.
