TPSO seeks help finding suspect in weekend Dollar General robbery

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating two Hammond residents who are wanted for their involvement in the burglary of a Dollar General Store in Hammond over the weekend.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports on June 18, 2022, deputies responded to the Dollar General Store on Wardline Road after employees arrived to open the store and discovered the door was unlocked. Upon entering the store, the manager found the safe open and all the contents to be missing.
Throughout the investigation, detectives were able to identify two suspects in connection with the burglary, and have submitted warrants for their arrest.
The suspects identified in the incident are:
Hermtrell Dangerfield – (b/m – 27 years old)
(1) count – Aggravated Burglary
Tommie Cooper (b/m – 38 years old)
(1) count – Principal to commit burglary
