TPSO arrests subject for theft in excess of $10k

On May 5, 2022, TPSO Detectives began investigating an incident in relation to felony theft that occurred in Independence, Louisiana.
Detectives learned that the victim was missing money from his checking account in excess of $10,000.00, and were able to determine the money was removed by 49 year old Bridgette Harper of Roseland, Louisiana.
Detectives questioned Harper about her role in the theft. Harper later confessed that she took an undetermined amount of money from the victims account.
Chief Jimmy Travis reports Harper was booked into the Tangipahoa Parish Jail on the following charges:
(1) count Bank Fraud
(1) count Theft (Felony)
All persons accused of any crime are to be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
