LAPLACE — Councilwoman Tyra Duhe-Griffin reported that AT&T is distributing cell phones to St. John the Baptist Parish residents. The phones come with a $100 preloaded credit, enough to provide one month of service as families navigate the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.
AT&T also has a mobile charging station and invites residents to bring their phones if needed.
These services will be offered from noon to 5 p.m. in the parking lot of New Wine Christian Fellowship in LaPlace.
