After an exhaustive state-wide search, Louisiana Family Forum is excited to announce Louisiana’s Longest Married Couple and our Top Ten Runners Up!

This year, we celebrate Gail and Patsy Richardson of Gonzales La., who have been marriedan extraordinary 80 YEARS!  What an incredible witness to the legacy of marriage. When asked about the key to a long and happy marriage, “communication is key,” said 99-year-old Patsy. For Gail, who is 101, age is just a number. “You’re only as old as think you are, and I don’t think I’m very old,” he quipped.

LFF is committed to building a culture of strong marriages. Each year, we highlight the contributions that faithful families have made to our state and its colorful legacy. “We want to tell these stories and encourage the next generation that they can remain happily married for life. We are honored to share these examples of lasting love,” commented LFF President Gene Mills. “LFF’s message is simple–marriage can, and indeed does, last a lifetime!
