RESERVE — Teche Action Clinic is offering a new telemedicine service that can aid in the delivery of healthcare and assist patients in adhering to the statewide Stay at Home mandate to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Telemedicine services are offered through a free and secure ELVI App, which can be found on Google Play or the Apple Store. Utilizing ELVI, a patient can conduct video sessions with a licensed provider, make appointments with or doctors or get consultations online. To schedule a Telehealth visit, please call 337-828-2550.
Teche Action Clinic is still accepting walk-in patients, but patients are asked to contact the facility first so staff can perform a pre-screening by asking “COVID-19 Increased Screening” questions. Those who believe they are symptomatic (develop fever, or if symptoms progress from mild to severe), should let staff know so they may ensure proper isolation protocols are implemented upon arrival.
Teche Action Clinic is a private, not-for-profit, federally qualified health center, accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Care Medical Home. The St. John the Baptist Parish clinics are located at 471 Central Ave. in Reserve and 159 East Third Street in Edgard. Typical services include Adult Medicine, Mental Health, Pediatrics, WIC/Nutrition, Obstetrics and Gynecology Services, Lab, Pharmacy, Dental and Medicaid Enrollment.
