David Edwin (Butch) Hodge died at his home in Garyville on March 21, 2019.

He was born on May 28, 1954.

He is survived by his Mother, Dixie C. Ramirez (Juan); two sisters, Laura Ann Talbot (Kenneth) and Ginger Simon (John); a grandson, Nicholas Fouquet, lots of nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and a great great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, Woody David Hodge; his grandfather, Edwin Crook; grandmother, Fern Slate Wilson; grandmother Jesse Hodge; and his uncle, V. O. Wilson Jr., who was killed in Vietnam.

David loved life, and his life was cut too short.

He was employed during his life as a mortgage banker.

There will be a memorial service on Sunday, April 14 with the Blessing of his ashes at 2 p.m. at 2179 Oak Tree Drive in LaPlace.
