LAPLACE — The Ascension of Our Lord, Knights of Columbus, Council 9623 awarded Catholic Youth Leadership Award College Scholarships to Maggie Morton and Samuel Accardo III, seniors attending St. Charles Catholic High School.

Maggie Morton will be attending the University of South Alabama.

She was accompanied with her parents, Tammy and Patrick Morton.

Samuel Accardo III will be attending Louisiana State University.

He was accompanied by his parents, Jennifer Accardo and Samuel G. Accardo Jr.

Also in attendance was Samuel’s grandparents, Cookie and Samuel Accardo Sr.

The winners are chosen by a panel of Knights of Columbus, Council 9623 members.
