The shepherds, two of which played by Hudson Anderson (from left) and Nicholas Abadie, were among the first to see the Newborn King.
The prophets who foretold Jesus’ birth were portrayed by Tyler Milioto (from left), Joshua Jensen, and Garrad LeBouef.
Wise men from the East, portrayed by Owen Faucheux, Blake Weber, and Conner Carter, journeyed following a star to pay homage to the Infant Jesus bringing with them gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School held its annual Living Nativity. The beautiful reenactment was the perfect family activity to prepare for the upcoming Christmas holiday.
The Archangel Gabriel portrayed by Laney Beadle (left) announced to Mary played by Noelle Remondet that she would bear the Son of God.
Joseph portrayed by Ethan Milioto (left) watched Baby Jesus portrayed by Adrian Suarez as angels Audrey Chauvin and Juliette Montegut gazed at the Infant.
One of the songs the 4-year-old class sang was “Jingle Bells”. Dominic Harris (from left), Alivianna Andrews, Keith Bourgeois, Marlie Moore, Alexandra Birdrow, Steven Brown, Kenzie Gonzales and Mille Mayeux shook their bells as they sang along.
Angels (back from left) Allie Bourgeois, Skylar Banquer, Asia Jilles, Saylor Anderson, Alyssa Quinones-Velez, Kimani Brown, Londyn Fox and Brooklyn Tregre watched over the manger where Myles Sellars (from from left) portrayed Joseph, Emersyn Banquer portrayed Gabriel the Archangel, and Olivia Jacob portrayed Mary.
The St. Joan of Arc Catholic School Children’s Choir visited the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home to perform a Christmas concert recently. Their voices brought smiles to the residents. Among the choir members were (from left) Gabriel Lopez, Aaron Hille, Drei Stein, Dakota Gaudet, Belle Cassagne, Roman Spencer and Luci Cassagne.
LAPLACE — Christmas giving and celebration was part of many St. Joan of Arc Catholic School events this month.
The Children’s Choir visited the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home to perform a Christmas concert. Their voices brought smiles to the residents.
Preschool and kindergarten classes entertained audience members during the annual Early Childhood Christmas Program.
A reenactment of the Nativity by the kindergarten students reminded all what the true meaning of the season is, and the preschool classes sang lively Christmas songs.
