Keller: Anne Bergeron aces role of mother

This Sunday, we celebrate Mother’s Day. It is a day we set aside to honor all mothers who should be recognized every day of the year.

I believe, without reservation, that mothers have the most important job in these troubled times. What an awesome responsibility to be in charge of molding our children to be the God-fearing, loving, courteous, kind, honest and productive human beings we hope them to be!

Their roles are often taken for granted.

This Mother’s Day I would like to honor one of the most unforgettable mothers in my lifetime. Her name is Anne Bergeron. Anne and Emile have been married for 31 years and have 11 children, ranging in age 11 to 30.

What makes Anne special is that she has home-schooled all of them. Every child has taken music lessons and can play a musical instrument. Eight have graduated and moved on to further their education.

Anne has given them a good work ethic and they all realize the importance of responsibility.

If the secret to living successfully is giving, each child has been taught, through experience, how to be an unselfish giver, not only to family, but also to others.

To Mrs. Anne Bergeron, I say Happy Mother’s Day! I know that your Heavenly Father is well pleased with your role as one of the most godly mothers I’ve ever known.
