Keller: Support continues for Get High for Life

Last week, supporters of Get High on Life held a banquet to honor and raise funds for Jeanne and I. The celebration was the 38th anniversary of God’s ministry, in which we have had the privilege of being laborers, together with many unselfish volunteers.
For many years, we have dedicated our lives to reaching out to the many troubled, lonely and hurting who are searching, with hope, for a second chance.
We pray that we will never abuse the trust and responsibility that God has placed in us.
The banquet was held at the Lutcher Public Relations Building in Lutcher. The 175 people in attendance were served a delicious meal, including white chocolate bread pudding, prepared by Kenneth “Wop” Foret, Lynn “Moose” Trosclair, “T” Rich Bourgeois and Mike Hymel.
Michael Hoover and Colin Clement entertained the group with music.
My friend, Danny Louque, chairman of the function delivered the opening remarks. The crowd enjoyed him explaining our journey over the years.
After hearing Danny’s remarks, I realized that only God could have put us together and given Danny the patience he’s had with me.
It was a great time and Jeanne and I are forever grateful for the support of so many generous people.
We ask for God’s blessing and wisdom as we continue ministering to people.
