McComack: Chamber helps develop business reach

Published 12:02 am Wednesday, March 8, 2017

Last month I had the honor of highlighting a very special group of business leaders that help serve as the face of the Chamber.

This month I’d like to take this opportunity to bring awareness to chamber members and general community members of the upcoming offerings being made available as part of your investment with the Chamber.

What’s happening

on the Business Development front?

We are offering the “Small Business – Big Idea” Series to Chamber members. Members are encouraged to take advantage of this benefit as Constant Contact takes you step-by-step through email marketing for your small business.

This 3-part series will give you all the tools you need to understand how email marketing works, best practices such as how to write compelling subject lines, when to send and what to say, and how to tie in other forms of marketing like Facebook.

All sessions will include a hands-on segment to allow attendees to practice what is taught. While not required, it is recommended that all attendees come prepared with a live, active subscription to Constant Contact. A special subscription has been setup for this series to allow attendees to subscribe at $5/mo for three months.

March 10: Getting Started with Constant Contact, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

March 16: Grow Your Business with Email and Social Media Marketing, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

March 24: Drive New Business with Social Media, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Goldman Sachs has partnered with us in bringing the following to the River Region:

April 13: The Small Business Health Insurance Roller Coaster: What is Next?

June 6: How to Accelerate Your Business Growth with Inbound Marketing.

September TBA: The Do’s and Don’ts of Networking.

For more details on the above listed offerings, please contact us at 985-359-9777 or visit riverregionchamber.org.

Sincerest thanks to our partners Louisiana Small Business Development Council and Goldman Sachs 10K Small Businesses. We are in process of adding more offerings soon, so stay tuned.

If you’re a business that’s not yet a member, I would love the opportunity to meet and learn more about your business and we can work together.

As always, it continues to be an honor to serve you, the business community of the River Region!
