Michel: Celebration shared with touchdowns, prayers

Well, it’s been decided.

Super Bowl LI will be a battle between the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots.

I have no idea who will win, which player might say he’s going to Disney World or what the best commercial will be.

The only thing I know is that there will be a huge celebration for every point scored.

Before teams were penalized for excessive celebration in the end zone, there were dances that were undoubtedly choreographed following a touchdown.

I sometimes wondered how often those dances were rehearsed.

After a long day of football practice, did a player imagine himself crossing the goal line and decided what his celebration would be?

Did he endure grueling drills for the hope of success?

I think that I could take a lesson from those football players.

When I pray, I need to praise God for that answer as though I already have it.

If I believe He hears my prayer and I trust Him to provide His will for my life, I should walk around with joy that the answer is on its way.  Jesus said, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24

We should practice our victory celebrations now.

And I promise, there will not be a penalty for excessive celebration.
