McComack: Get tickets this week for Chamber crawfish boil
Published 12:01 am Wednesday, April 13, 2016
It’s that time of year.
Aside from having our allergies challenged with this season, it’s one of the most important seasons of Louisiana…Crawfish time!
The Chamber is hosting its annual crawfish boil again this year from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 21 at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.
This is one of the two fundraisers hosted to help operate your local Chamber of Commerce.
The Boil committee has been busy these last couple months working on promoting the event and delving into the logistics to ensure we not only make the budget, but we give the members and anyone attending a valuable experience.
They have been reaching out to everyone to make sure all members received raffle tickets. This will be a great opportunity to network with fellow members, meet some new people and create new relationships that can lead to future commerce.
Think outside the box, pass a few tickets on to those employees going above and beyond as a thank you.
Maybe you have some folks that have over exceeded their safety goal in the field. Or maybe you just want to let your staff know you appreciate their hard work.
This event has rotated between the three parishes, but seems to be the perfect fit at this location, not only from the volunteer’s perspective, but the attendees.
This the FINAL week for ticket sales. Please make sure to get your tickets by Friday.
If you haven’t purchased your tickets yet, please do so soon!
Not only does this help with smooth registration to get as many stubs in prior to the event but also helps you spend less time in line checking in.
Spend your time eating some awesome food and meeting some new people or reconnecting with some you haven’t seen in a while.
You probably have noticed a minor change this year with this event. Rather than giving one grand prize, the Boil committee wanted more people to walk away with prizes!
Everyone that purchases a boil ticket will be entered into drawings for a variety of prizes throughout the event. You should have seen last week’s event email including this opportunity.
We still have space for extra prizes if you want your business acknowledged at the event! We do ask that it be a minimum value of $25. Contact Janine today to drop off your prize, along with your business card!
Tickets can be purchased by Board members or at the office.
You can find a current list of Board members on our website at riverregionchamber.org. Additional raffle tickets are being sold for a chance to win two additional prizes.
Two K2 coolers will be raffled off at the end of the night. Winner need not be present! Call today to get yours!
