A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Saturday for Urgent Care of LaPlace Walk-In Clinic, located at 113 Belle Terre Blvd. in LaPlace.

Health officials said the affordable health care clinic offers less wait time and effecient care.

Open late each day — 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends — the location will also be open on holidays.

Those in attendance Saturday included Medical Director Douglas Mehaffie, Business Director Monica Mehaffie, Parish President Natalie Robottom, Parish CAO Michael Coburn, Chamber Member Michelle Millet, employees, family and friends.
