John Monroe Easley Jr., 66, of Reserve passed away Friday, Sept. 11 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.
Easley was born Jan. 31, 1949, in Magnolia, Miss.
He was a yard master with the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad and a St. John Parish Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff from 1981 until 2012.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Inez Kliebert Easley; two sons and daughters-in-law David (Rebecca) Easley, Jonathan Matthew “Matt” (Nicole) Easley; three grandchildren Amy, Ryan, and Easton; mother Valerie Mixon Easley; two sisters, Faye and Valerie Easley and a brother, Timothy Easley.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Monroe Easley Sr; and a sister, Mary Kathryn Easley.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18 in the Osyka Cemetery in Osyka, Miss.
