Robert Shuford Boyette, 65, passed away on Friday, Sept. 11, 2015.

He was a native of Batesville, Miss., and a resident of LaPlace.

Boyette was the beloved husband of Darlene Zimmer Boyette; father of Rene Craig (Bruce), Robert Boyette (Kristie), Wendy Taylor (Leon), Tonya Middleton (Ken), Butch Boyette (Kellie), Scooter Boyette (Carol Ann) and Tanya Daniels (Tangela); son of the late Robert Elton Boyette and Mary Ann Lakey Boyette Hartmen; step-son of Betty Boyette; and brother of Mary Ella Hartmen Noack (Brian), Kathy West and Pamela Boyette.

He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Boyette was a past member of the LaPlace Volunteer Fire Department and was the Firefighter of the Year in 1994.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, 2806 W. Airline Highway in LaPlace on Sept. 19 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
