DESTREHAN – The search for those responsible for shooting a 17-year-old St. Charles Parish teenager continues as authorities ask the public for help.

The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a drive-by shooting that took place at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday  in the 200 block of Meadows Drive in Destrehan.

Authorities announced the victim, Rashaud Capers, of Destrehan was shot once in the head and is in critical condition at an area hospital.

Detectives believe a mid-2000s model Ford Taurus, maroon or burgundy in color, was the vehicle used during the shooting.
