HAHNVILLE — A St. Charles Parish author who penned a children’s book to portray the special bond between a mother and daughter is planning a book signing to celebrate the release.
Author Taneah Francis, a single mother and Hahnville resident, recently released her first book, “Momma’s Little Talk With Mia,” where she shares a charming story of a little girl’s special time with her mother.
Francis will host a book signing from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Historic Bethlehem Baptist Church, located at 14989 River Road in Hahnville.
Francis has three children — Todge, Tamia and Taleea — and said she gets colorful responses from her children when they are asked the question: What did you do today?
Because Francis has always been amused with the conversation about her children’s daily activities when they were younger, she depicted those discussions in “Momma’s Little Talk With Mia.”
“I think that the bond being built between a parent and a child through simple conversations will resonate with the parents, not to mention the familiarity of the battery of questions,” she said about her book.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, “Momma’s Little Talk With Mia” is available through bookstores nationwide and by online merchants.
Francis said she is working on another children’s book and a book of poetry.
