LAPLACE — St. Rose Elementary School held its annual Social Studies Fair Jan. 15.

All fifth graders were required to participate in the fair, and fourth graders were encouraged to participate.

The winners from each category are as follows:

• Anthropology: Abihail Navarro, first; Indira Escobar, second; Alycia Kister, third; Logan Shotwell, Dillon Ward, and Alexis Hollingsworth, honorable mention.

• Economics: Cole Hanemann and Cole Nelson, first; Analyse Cole, second.

• Geography: Alexis Ellis, first; Camila Martinez, second; Iman Hussain, third; Keren Serrano, honorable mention.

• History: Addison Kolb and Ethan Hebert, first; Bodhi Ravipahdi, second; Sean Dragna, third; Hayden Powell, honorable mention.

• Louisiana History: Isabel Barattini, first; Gabrielle Williams, second; A’myreion Jordan, third.

• Political Science: Ramaia Scott, first; Sarah Parker, second.

• Sociology: Mitchell Stevens, first; Julian Davis, second; Joshua Robinson, third; Ahmed Abbas and Jordan Sheriff, honorable mention.

First place winners from each category are preparing to participate in the 48th Annual Regional Social Studies Fair at Nicholls State University on March 10.
