LAPLACE – Recently St. John the Baptist Parish President Natalie Robottom, council members Lucien Gauff and Larry Snyder, parish administrative staff, Economic Development Committee member Peggy Joseph and Sheriff Mike Tregre, attended the grand opening of Incredible Cuts hair salon.
Parish officials joined owner Dawn Decker and stylists Michelle Qaunn, Pamela Wandrei and Jessica Borne for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new salon. Also on hand for the ceremony were a host of family, friends and customers. The grand opening included reduced prices on haircuts, door prizes and raffle drawings, free jambalaya, refreshments and a visit from the St. John Office of Fire Services.
Incredible Cuts is a family-friendly salon specializing in haircuts for customers of all ages. The salon has four stylists offering a variety of services, including highlights, shampoo and blow dry, hair conditioning treatments and facial waxing. Haircuts are $13 for adults and $11 for children. The salon also offers a special discount for service members, including firefighters and police officers.
After doing hair for 20 years, Decker decided to open a shop of her own in St. John Parish.
“We had a very successful first month, and I’d like to thank the parish and the community for all of their support,” said Decker. “I also want to reiterate that Incredible Cuts is a walk-in salon that caters to all ages with no appointments needed.”
Salon hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Incredible Cuts is located at 1 Ormond Blvd., Suite D, LaPlace (behind the Shell gas station). For more information contact Decker at 985-651-1115.
