Ascension of Our Lord School recently held an eighth-grade graduation ceremony for the class of 2013. Eighth-grade students and their families participated in a Mass followed by an awards ceremony. Christopher Bergeron was named valedictorian. Bergeron is the son of Chris and Dee Dee Bergeron of LaPlace. Courtney Caldarera was named salutatorian. Caldarera is the daughter of Ray and Gloria Caldarera of LaPlace. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in Don Bosco Hall.
