LAPLACE – The Canadian National Railroad will be making repairs to railroad crossings beginning Tuesday, June 25.  As a result, Walnut and Cardinal Streets will experience detours during construction. 

The CN railroad crossing on Walnut Street will be closed to through traffic Tuesday, June 25 through Thursday, June 27. 

The CN railroad crossing on Cardinal Street will be closed to through traffic Thursday, June 27 through Saturday morning, June 29.

Detour signs will be placed in the appropriate places to notify motorists in advance.  This closing will only affect motorists. All residents will have access to their homes.  Residents are asked to use caution during this time. 

All fire departments and emergency personnel have been advised of the repair schedule and each has developed alternate routes for emergency response.
