Bambi Jean Rome, 50, was called to heaven Saturday Dec. 31, 2011.

She was the loving mother of Buddy “Dean” Williams Jr., proud “Grammy” of Lexi Christine Williams, beloved daughter of Jean Rome Jr. and Marie Jean Terry and cherished sister of Blane Rome Sr. and Brent Rome.

She will be fondly remembered by host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. The family extends special thanks to family friends Debbie Swetnam and Theresa Browning for their loving care as well as Rikki and Erin at Lakeside Hospice.

She was a native of LaPlace and resident of Vacherie.

Visitation and services were held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in LaPlace. Burial followed in St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery in LaPlace. In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to the American Cancer Society in Rome’s honor are preferred.
