Team gaining experience for eighth and ninth grade starters

RESERVE–Riverside soccer has found offense hard to come by so far this season as a start-up team tries to establish the Rebels in Class 2A.

On Wednesday, Riverside played host in a match against Archbishop Shaw where the Eagles jumped out to a six-point lead by halftime and netted one more in the final period to top the Rebels 7-0.

Riverside’s team was at a considerate size disadvantage as their starting players consisted of a handful of eighth and ninth graders. But the squad continued to hustle throughout as they dropped their fifth game of the season.
