LAPLACE – In spite of cloudy skies during the entire day on Sunday, the 31st Annual Krewe Du Monde parade went on without a hitch.

The East St. John High School marching band and LaPlace Elementary School Tigerettes entertained between the floats, queens in convertibles and other entrants in the procession.

Hundreds of residents and out-of-town visitors came to watch the colorful two-hour event.
