LAPLACE — A building at 421 West Airline Highway in LaPlace was vandalized by graffiti, and authorities are reviewing the crime to see if it is linked to a similar report on Main Street.

St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded Wednesday to the complaint, when they were informed the graffiti was first reported Aug. 31.

The building’s east side and a portion of the south side were vandalized.

“It is uncertain when the vandalism occurred,” Sheriff Mike Tregre said in a release. “Investigators will check if this incident is related to the vandalism on Main Street last weekend.”
